Christian man arrested on charges of Pakistan blasphemy (symbolic photo)
Lahore: A Christian man in Pakistan’s Punjab province has been arrested on charges of blasphemy. The police have given information about this on Monday. The incident took place in the Nishat Colony of Lahore last week. Police officer Zulfikar Ali told ‘PTI-Bhasha’ that Aamir Christ has been arrested on the complaint of Muslim man Sanur Ali.

Muslim man Sanur Ali told the police, “His neighbor Christ came to his grocery store and started talking about leaving Pakistan due to poor economic conditions. Then, he suddenly made derogatory remarks against the Prophet. I tried to control him, but he managed to escape.” The official said that Ali later approached the police and lodged a complaint against Christ. In the case, a case was registered under Section 295C of the Pakistan Penal Code and Christ has been arrested. Pakistan is related to the crime of impure the name of the Prophet of 295C Prophet of the Penal Code. The punishment for this crime is death or life imprisonment and fine.
The case is fake
According to a Napoleon Qayyum of a Christian legal organization, this is a fake case, as the complainant wants to equalize himself with the suspect on a small thing. He said, “The shopkeepers and suspects have been living in the same street for many years and there was a sharp debate on the issue of rainwater drainage last Friday. The shopkeeper Ali alleged that the suspect shed his house water in the street, which entered his shop. Later, he filed a case of blasphemy against Aamir Christ.”
What did Aamir Christ tell the police?
Napoleon Qayyum said that Aamir Christ told the police that he and the complainant called each other harsh words on the issue of rainfall, but he (Christ) did not say a word about the Prophet. Ishaninda is a sensitive issue in Pakistan, where anyone who insults Islam or Islamic personalities can be sentenced to death. Minorities including Christians and Hindus have often been accused of blasphemy. (Language)
