Modi government gave Diwali gift to farmers, increased MSP of crops

MSP: Before Diwali, Modi government has given gifts to the farmers. The Central Government has announced an increase in the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of 6 Rabi crops for the 2025-26 season. Under this decision, the MSP of different crops has been increased, so that farmers will be able to get better prices for their crops.

As per the new notification:

* MSP of wheat has been increased to Rs.2,425 per quintal, which was earlier Rs.2,275.

* MSP of barley has been increased to Rs.1,980 per quintal, which was earlier Rs.1,850.

* MSP of gram has been increased to Rs.5,650 per quintal, which was earlier Rs.5,440.

* MSP of lentils has been increased to Rs.6,700 per quintal, which was earlier Rs.6,425.

* MSP of mustard has been increased to Rs.5,950 per quintal, which was earlier Rs.5,650.

* MSP of safflower has been increased to Rs.5,940 per quintal, which was earlier Rs.5,800.

Increase in MSP of crops

Giving a big gift to the farmers before Diwali, the Narendra Modi government has announced the increase in MSP of Rabi season crops. After the Union Cabinet meeting, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav gave this information. The move is aimed at providing financial relief to farmers and supporting farm income especially during the upcoming Rabi season. This decision was taken in the meeting of the Economic Affairs Committee of the Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This increase has been made for all Rabi crops for the marketing year 2025-26. This step of the government has been taken with the aim of providing fair prices to the farmers for their crops. msp
