Modi said- EV will run Made in India in the world: Maruti’s first EV
Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged E-Vitara for export in Hansalpur, Gujarat today i.e. on 26 August. This is Maruti’s first electric car. This train is completely built in India and will be exported to more than 100 countries, such as Europe and Japan.
Addressing the people during the program, PM Modi said that today a new chapter is connected in Make in India. Now Made in India will also be written on electric vehicles running abroad.
This car will get two battery pack options of 49kwh and 61kwh. The company claims that the car will run more than 500 kilometers once full charge. Electric SUV has been produced in Suzuki Motor Gujarat Private Limited plant since February-2025.
