Mohammed Shami Death Threat: Mohammed Shami, who was playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in IPL 2025, has received threats to kill him via email. His brother has lodged an FIR in Amroha, UP. The threatening has also demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore from Shami.
Team India and SRH fast bowler Mohammad Shami has received threats to kill him. This threat was sent to him via email, after which an FIR has been lodged at the Cybercrime police station in Amroha district of UP on the complaint of his brother Haseeb.
According to the report, the name of the mail sender is ‘Rajput Sindar’, who has also sought a ransom of one crore rupees from Shami. The complaint happened on Sunday and the FIR was registered on Monday.
Shami’s form in IPL 2025 has been nothing special. He has taken 6 wickets in 9 matches so far, but recently he had shown his power in the Champions Trophy, where he took 9 wickets in 5 matches, including five wickets in the innings against Bangladesh.
Before Shami, Team India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir has also received similar threats. Delhi Police is investigating this and Gambhir is already under police protection. Now the investigation of both cases has been intensified.
