Story- According to the story of Mohini Ekadashi, mythological and authentic fast, the Chandravanshi king named Dutiman ruled in a city named Bhadravati on the banks of river Saraswati. There is also a Vaishya named Dhanpal, rich in wealth and wealth. He was a very religious and Vishnu devotee. He had built many restaurants, piyas, wells, lakes, dharamshala etc. in the city. He had five sons- Sumana, Sadbuddhi, Medhavi, Sukriti and Dhrishta wisdom. Of these, the fifth son was Dhrishta Buddhist Mahapapi. Now he started being very sad due to hunger and thirst. Nobody learned to steal after seeing support. Once he was caught, he was left and left with a warning. He folded his hands with Kudinya Muni and said, “Oh my!” I have committed a lot of sins in life. You should tell any simple way to get rid of these sins. Hearing his poor words, the monk was pleased and said that you should fast on Ekadashi named Mohini of Vaishakh Shukla. This will destroy all sins.
He was very happy to hear the words of the sage and fasted according to the method mentioned by him. Due to the effect of this fast, all his sins were destroyed and finally he sat on Garuda and went to Vishnulok.
