Monsoon entry in Madhya Pradesh: 34 killed in 48 hours due to lightning in UP

Monsoon has entered Madhya Pradesh. The monsoon has reached the state via Barwani, Khargone, Khandwa and Burhanpur due to a delay of one day. The last time it came on 21 June.

Although the monsoon entry in the neighboring state of Chhattisgarh was made on 27-28 May, Madhya Pradesh has a monsoon knock after 21 days.

Alert for heavy rain has been issued today in 16 states including Rajasthan, Bihar, Maharashtra. There is an orange-red alert of heavy rains in 11 districts of Rajasthan and Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and Raigad in Maharashtra.

The rain has also started in UP. Today there is alert in 62 districts. In the last 48 hours in the state, 34 people have lost their lives in lightning incidents. Heavy rains in Bareilly have drowned the highway.

Seeing the rains of rain in Kerala, the school college has been discharged on Monday in Malappuram, Kannur, Kasargod, Wayanad and Thrissur. Karnataka also has a red alert of rain. All schools in Udupi and South Kannada have holiday.

June 17: There is alert of heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Vidarbha, Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat Saurashtra, Bihar, Sikkim. Odisha, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Kerala and Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Bengal, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura have rain alert.

June 18: Gujarat, Saurashtra, Kutch, Madhya Maharashtra, Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Karnataka, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bengal, Sikkim are alert of heavy rains. Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura have rain an orange alert.
