Monsoon reached Bihar-Jharkhand, rain in 19 states

The southwest monsoon has reached Bihar-Jharkhand on Tuesday. Four districts Aurangabad, Kishanganj, Katihar and Banka received heavy rains in the morning.

On Monday, the monsoon entered Gujarat-Madhya Pradesh. Monsoon has also moved forward in Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and some areas of Odisha in Maharashtra.

19 people died on Monday due to lightning in MP, UP, Rajasthan and Bihar.

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in Gujarat and Saurashtra today, while in 17 states including Madhya Pradesh-Rajasthan.

Here pre-monsoon rains continue in Rajasthan. On Monday, more than 20 districts including Jaipur, Ajmer received rain. An alert has been issued in 26 districts on Tuesday.

In the next 2 days in Madhya Pradesh, the monsoon can knock in Bhopal-Indore. Till then thunderstorms will continue in 40 districts. The monsoon will finally reach Gwalior-Chambal.

The Meteorological Department estimates, in the next two days, the monsoon can knock in UP with moving forward in the remaining parts of Gujarat, Maharashtra, MP, Odisha, Chhattisgarh.

By the end of this week, the monsoon will also reach parts of western UP, Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan.

June 18: Gujarat, Saurashtra, Kutch, Madhya Maharashtra, Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Karnataka, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bengal, Sikkim are alert of heavy rains. Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura have rain an orange alert.

June 19: There is a warning of heavy rains in Gujarat, Saurashtra, Kutch, Uttarakhand, Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh. While Bihar, Jharkhand, Konkan Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura have rain alert.
