But the way to make it is so long and tired that people shy away from making it. Soaking the lentils for hours, then grinding it and then frying it on low flame continuously. Material for moong dal pudding:

Moong dal 1 cup, desi ghee half cup, sugar half cup, milk: half cup, cardamom powder half teaspoon, finely chopped fruits (almonds, pistachios), saffron thread 4-5

Method of making moong dal pudding:

  • First step: Wash moong dal thoroughly and spread it on a cloth so that all its water comes out. Now fry the lentils in a non-stick pan on low flame till it becomes light golden. After cooling the roasted lentils, grind coarsely in the grinder. Do not make it exactly like powder, keep a little granular.

  • Second step: Heat ghee in a pan. Now add PC moong dal and fry it on low flame continuously. Fry it until it starts getting good fragrance and its color becomes golden. It may take 5-7 minutes.

  • Third step: Heat the milk lightly in another vessel. Add hot milk and sugar to the roasted lentils and mix well. Keep in mind that lumps do not fall. Now cook it while stirring continuously until it becomes thick and leaves the shore of the pan. Add cardamom powder and saffron threads and mix well. Garnish by adding chopped fruits.

Your hot and hot moong dal pudding is ready to serve. This method takes much less time than the traditional method and there is no compromise in taste.
