Most educated person in india: When it comes to knowledge, India’s name comes at the forefront. But do you know that there has been a person in our country who set such a record in the field of education, which is almost impossible to equal? We are talking about Dr. Srikanth Zichkar, who is officially considered to be the most educated person in India. His life is a proof of a lot of passion for knowledge.
More than 20 degrees: Born in Nagpur in 1954, Dr. Srikanth Zichkar surprised everyone with more than 20 degrees. He made MA in 10 subjects for his studies. Got the title of and passed in first class in every subject. This was not a simple achievement, but the result of his dedication and thirst for knowledge. Some of his major degrees are as follows:
• MBBS and MD (Medical Sciences)
• LLB and LLM (Law)
• DBM and MBA (Business Management)
• Bachelors in Journalism (Journalism)
• MA Public Administration, Sociology, Economics, Sanskrit, History, English Literature, Philosophy, Political Science, Ansint Indian History, Culture and Archeology, and Psychology.
To achieve these degrees, he took admission in many universities and studied several subjects at the same time. His name was also recorded as India’s most qualified person in the Limca Book of Records.
From IAS to young MLA: Dr. Zichkar was not limited to book knowledge only. His talent was multi -faceted. He passed the IPS (Indian Police Service) in 1978 and then the IAS (Indian Administrative Service) in 1979. However, his real interest was in politics. At the age of just 26, he quit his IAS job and in 1980 he was elected as the youngest MLA in the country.
He was also successful in politics and he handled several important departments in the Maharashtra government. His knowledge and understanding as a politician also always worked.
Knowledge hunger and life lesson: Dr. Srikanth Zichkar’s entire life was spent in acquiring knowledge. We learn from his life that the purpose of education is not only to get a job, but it is an endless journey in itself. His passion was not for any position or respect, but for the discovery of knowledge. He was a true student who enjoyed understanding and learning every subject.
Dr. Zichkar died tragically in a road accident in 2004 at the age of 49. His death was a major loss for India. But his legacy still inspires us that there is no limit to knowledge and there is no age to learn.
