MP High Court lifts ban on recruitment of teachers, expresses displeasure over government’s attitude

Palpal correspondent, Jabalpur. MP High Court has lifted the ban on teacher recruitment in the state and asked to continue the appointment process. While hearing the matter, the High Court expressed displeasure over the attitude of the state government and directed that the teacher recruitment process for the year 2023 should be continued. While reprimanding him, he asked that when EWS reservation came in 2019, how did you implement it on the recruitment of 2018.

The division bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Suresh Kumar Kaith and Justice Vivek Jain, while hearing the case, said that these appointments will be subject to the final decision of the appeal. Now the next hearing on the case will be on November 12. Jhanvi Pandit, Brahmadutt Singh appeared on behalf of the Appellant Government. Senior advocate Naman Nagrath appeared on behalf of the non-applicants. Two writ appeals were filed by the Madhya Pradesh government in the Division Bench against the decision of the Single Bench. Additional Advocate General presented the case on behalf of the government. After listening to his arguments, the High Court said sarcastically whether you are against the government or in favor because your arguments seem to be against the interest of the government. Then he said that due to the stay order of the High Court, the government is not able to recruit teachers. The High Court asked to underline the said order. On this, the Additional Advocate General said that the government had given a verbal undertaking in the High Court not to proceed with the appointment process of teachers. On this, the High Court passed an order on May 27 this year and made the upcoming recruitment of teachers subject to the decision of the said writ appeals. In the hearing, the High Court has ordered to recruit 2023 teachers under the order of May 27.
