MS Dhoni joined ICC Hall of Fame, created new history in Indian cricket
India’s successful captain and finest finisher MS Dhoni has got a place in the ICC Hall of Fame 2025. Under Dhoni’s captaincy, India won all three ICC White-Ball trophies, and now their name has been recorded among the greatest cricketers in the world.
On 9 June 2025, MS Dhoni, the great player of the cricket world, was included in the ICC Hall of Fame. Dhoni has been honored as the best finisher, captain and wicketkeeper of cricket.
Dhoni took Indian cricket to new heights with his calm captaincy and brilliant tactical understanding. He played 538 international matches in total, in which he scored 17,266 runs and impressed everyone with his fitness, consistent performance and long career.
Dhoni is the only captain who won the three white-ball trophies of ICC T20 World Cup 2007, ODI World Cup 2011 and Champions Trophy 2013. Along with this, he has become the 11th Indian cricketer who was included in the ICC Hall of Fame.
Dhoni said on this honor, “It is a matter of great pride for me that my name will be remembered with the great players of cricket. I will preserve this honor throughout my life.”
MS Dhoni scored 4876 runs in 90 Tests, including 6 centuries. In the ODI, he scored 10773 runs after playing 350 matches and hit 1617 runs in 98 matches in T20. He retired from cricket in 2020, while last played for Team India in the 2019 World Cup.
This achievement of Dhoni has recorded a new history in Indian cricket and it is a matter of pride for his fans.
