Mukesh Ambani receives bomb threat for the third time in 4 days, demand for Rs 400 crore ransom

India’s leading industrialist and owner of Reliance Industries Mukesh Ambani has received death threats in the mail for the third time in a week. This time the threat maker has demanded Rs 400 crore. In the last two threats on Saturday, he had asked for Rs 20 crores, on which he was given Rs 200 crores the next day. In this new threat, the threatener has demanded Rs 400 crore and has also said that the police cannot arrest him if they cannot find him. Like the previous two emails, this threatening email has also come from the same address from which the previous threats had come.

IP address is from Belgium

Mumbai Police has so far faced difficulties in tracing the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of two old threat emails. The police, through Interpol, has sought help from a Belgian Virtual Private Network company (VPN) to get the details of these emails. The threat emails were sent from shadabkhan@mailfence.com. According to technical experts, this IP address is associated with Belgium. But the police suspect that the person making the threat is sitting in some other country and is using a Belgian VPN company.

For the third time, a threat has been received against Reliance Industries, in which the person making the threat has demanded Rs 400 crore. This third email reads, “Now we have increased our demand to Rs 400 crore. If the police can’t find me they can’t arrest me.” The security in-charge of Reliance Industries had lodged a police complaint in this regard last Friday. In the first mail, a ransom of Rs 20 crore was demanded, which was increased to Rs 200 crore the next day. Crime Branch and Cyber Crime Cell of Maharashtra are jointly investigating the case of threat against Reliance Industries. The police have taken this matter seriously and ordered an investigation.

Had received threat before also

A new incident has come to light in the case of Reliance Industries leader Mukesh Ambani and his family receiving death threats, but this is not the first time that they have received such threats. Last year, on October 5, a person had called a hospital of Reliance Foundation and threatened to kill the Mukesh Ambani family. He also talked about blowing up the hospital with a bomb. However, the man was arrested from Bihar the very next day and was identified as Rakesh Kumar Sharma. Apart from this, a few years ago the news of a vehicle filled with explosives being found outside Mukesh Ambani’s house Antilia was also in the news, which attracted people’s attention.
