South African all -rounder Vian Mulder had a chance to break Bryan Lara’s big record by scoring 400 runs in the second Test against Zimbabwe, but Mulder decided to stay unbeaten on 367 runs in honor of Lara and also declared the African team’s innings. Some people were surprised by the argument given by Mulder after the match, while some people also appreciated his decision.

After declaring the South African innings, Mulder said, “Brian Lara is a veteran. He scored 401 or something against England. It is very special for that height player to keep this record.”

However, former West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle Criticized the Mulder’s decision and said that it was Mulder’s fault. Talking on TalkSport, Gayle said, “He got nervous and made a direct mistake. I think it was a mistake from him, he did not try to bat. We do not know whether he would be able to bat. But he declared the innings on 367 and he said what he had to say, listen, I get a chance to score 400 runs in the test match. Wonderful, let’s be on 367

Please tell that after Mulder Hashim Amla became the second South African player to score a triple century. Amla scored an unbeaten 311 against England at the Oval. Gayle further said, “This does not happen often. You don’t know when you will be able to score a triple century again. Whenever you get such an opportunity, you try to take full advantage of it. But he was very generous and he said that he wanted that these records were named after Brian Lara. Perhaps he was nervous. He did not understand what to do in that situation.”

Gayle finished his talk and said, “This is the same cricket, Test cricket. Sometimes you are not able to score a run against a team like Zimbabwe, if you want to say it like this. Whatever the opponent, if you score a century against any team, then that is a Test century. If you score double or triple, 400 runs, then that is the best game.”
