Music composer Rahul Dev Burman and his music today are an example of how much people want even after so many years, the program organized by Saregama in his memory in Indore. Even before the time, the hall with more than 1000 capacity was filled with packed and for three hours people kept enjoying song and music without moving.

Had RD alive, 27 June 2005 would have been 86 years old. A day after his birthday, a program called ‘RD Burman Classics’ was held on June 28, in which Chuninda songs were recited by RD.

Shruti Bhide (Bangalore), Mandar Apte (Mumbai), Sagar Madhumatke (Nagupar) and Shruti Jagtap (Mumbai) tied RD’s evergreen and hit songs. Of course, Shruti Mari Shruti, who showed the shingles of the audience by showing his singing jauhar in the songs of serious songs as well as in the songs of stretching songs.

At the end of the program, through ‘Monica, O My Darling’ and ‘Dum Maro Dum’, they created the atmosphere that the listeners had been looking for for a long time. I wish such songs would have increased in between, the level of success of the program would have increased further.

RD Burman composed many superhit and melodious songs in his career. Everyone cannot be happy by selecting selected songs, but the percentage of selection of serious songs in this program was high, which made the color of enthusiastic and experimental RD a little less. If the passionate songs were included a little more, the program could have become even more memorable.

However, the listeners enjoyed many of RD’s hit songs for three hours and shrinking RD and these artists on one song.

Sanjay Patel not only shared interesting stories behind the songs as an anchor, but also made the audience aware of the untouched aspects of RD’s music. At the same time, the role of Abhishek Gavade and his team in the sound and event management was notable, which turned the entire event into a beautiful experience.
