Arrest of a Pakistani citizen in front of BS fence

Brief details of the event:

Last night in Gurdaspur, Punjab, a Pakistani man was arrested trying to cross the international border illegally, the suspect is 24 years old and is arrested by the Punjab Police. This intruder has been identified as Hushanin. He had a national identity card of Pakistan. Police received a Pakistani currency of Rs 40 from Hushanin. He was wandering near the international border while illegally entered India. In the inquiry so far, the police have not found any terrorist link.

Suspect was sitting hiding in bushes

On 03 May 2025 at around 11.10 pm, CT Sandeep Ghosh, BOP Sahapur Forward (A Flanking BoP of Darya Mansoor) while doing duty on hit point number 01 in PTZ Control Room in AOR of AOR, BP number 63/M, beyond the BS furnace and near the Indian area Saw An unknown person, later identified as a Pakistani citizen. The person was hidden in the bushes.

CT Ghosh immediately alerted the core commander, who immediately reached the place with QRT and the entire team. The area was laid siege and the suspect was successfully caught by the BOP Darya Mansoor personnel at around 2345 am between the BS fence and the IB. The arrested person was brought to BOP Darya Mansoor on May 03, 2025 at around 23.50 am.
