NCB got great success, International drug smuggling gangster from Malaysia
The kingpin of drug smuggling drugs deployed from Malaysia.
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) with the help of Malaysia agencies has submitted a leader behind the international drug smuggling syndicate from Malaysia. According to NCB, this action started on January 21, 2025 with the seizure of about 200 grams of cocaine hidden in the projector from a parcel from Mumbai to Australia via DHL Courier.
Cocaine smuggling from America to India
During the investigation of the case, NCB seized 11.540 kg of cocaine, 4.9 kg cannabis and 5.5 kg of cannabis gumm from the house of a member of Syndicate in Navi Mumbai. The investigation revealed a well -planned international syndicate involved in cocaine smuggling in India from the US and it is being supplied to India and outside. The investigation further revealed the involvement of Clearing House Agent (CHA) and hawala operators.
The kingpin was in Thailand in 2021
A total of 8 people have been arrested so far of this syndicate. Its leader was in Thailand in 2021 after the NCB escaped from an old NCB case related to smuggling of LSD. He was found recently found in Malaysia after a red notice issued by NCB and brought to India. According to the NCB, before the investigation of the case, it has been revealed that the syndicate was working for at least one year and during this period several consignments from cocaine to air cargo were received in Mumbai.
Efforts to attach assets continue
In interrogation of the gangster brought from Malaysia, more information about its operation, including the source of drugs in the USA, is likely to be revealed. Even before the financial inquiry into the case, the assets including assets and bank accounts have been identified in Thailand before the financial inquiry. Efforts are on to attach these properties. Earlier this month, NCB succeeded in bringing an accused in the drug smuggling case in Bengaluru from UAE. This operation is part of NCB’s planning to catch members of the International Drug Syndicate involved in drug smuggling.
