During this period, Mumbai had the highest number of 47,035 houses, 26,795 houses in Delhi-NCR and 26,599 in Bengaluru. In the first half, the sales of homes with premium segment remained strong, where houses worth more than Rs 1 crore recorded an increase of 17% on an annual basis.

49 percent of the houses in total sales are more than Rs 1 crore

According to the report, Mumbai remained the largest housing market in terms of the number of units, whose sales remained stable from year to year. Whereas, NCR has fallen by 8%. The sales of homes in Kolkata declined by 11%. Whereas Chennai was the only city with a 12 percent increase, where there has been a tremendous jump in sales. At the same time, 9370 houses were sold in Ahmedabad, which remained almost stable compared to the previous year. Dight Frank data shows that 49 percent of the sales of all houses were worth Rs 1 crore and above, while 51 percent of the houses were priced under Rs 1 crore.

Night Frank India’s report released on July 3 said that the maximum number of 75,042 houses were sold in the category of Rs 1 to 5 crore, followed by 48,972 houses and 37,796 houses worth Rs 50 lakh in a category of Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore. The NCR recorded the highest sales in the ultra-wooden segment, with 1055 houses in a range of Rs 10 to 20 crore and 159 houses were in a range of more than Rs 50 crore. NCR also overtook Mumbai in this segment. The report states that 124 units sold in a segment of Rs 20 to 50 crore in Mumbai
