Owl app CEO Vibhu Aggarwal and Ejaz Khan will have to appear before the National Commission for Women on 9 May. The National Commission for Women has taken cognizance after watching the viral content of the app’s new show House Arrest. This matter has been covered on social media and there is a demand for the show to be banned. The show has been accused of serving pornographic content. Many shows of the Owl app have also been accused of such allegations. Now once again, this case has caught the attention of the people. Now an objectionable clip is going viral from this show.

Ejaz hosting the show

Let me tell you, Ejaz Khan is the host of this reality show, in which the female contestant is provoked for impractical and sexual talk. The NCW notice states, ‘Such pornographic and wrong material hurts women’s self -esteem and promotes their harassment. If such material is found porn, action will be taken under BNS and Information Technology Act. Many questions are being raised on social media after the clip of the house arrest went viral.

Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi raised questions

There has been an uproar over the viral clip of the reality show hosted by former Bigg Boss contestant Ejaz Khan. Regarding this, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has demanded a ban on the streaming app. He questioned why the app has not yet been banned. Sharing the viral clip, Priyanka wrote on X that she has repeatedly told the government about the pornographic materials on such apps, but no response has been received yet. He tweeted, ‘I have raised the issue in the Standing Committee that apps like owl app and ALT Balaji have managed to avoid the ban imposed by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for pornographic materials. I am still waiting for his reply. ‘

Nishikant Dubey also raised questions

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey took cognizance of the clip. He assured that such content would not be tolerated. In a post on X, he wrote that the committee will take action on it. BJP Yuva Morcha Bihar chief Barun Raj Singh said that such shows should be closed. He also asked Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav to look into the matter.
