NDA’s Vice Presidential candidate was named Final, know who he is here
NDA Vice Presidential candidate CP Radhakrishnan
New Delhi: The name of the Vice Presidential candidate of NDA has been finalized. CP Radhakrishnan will be the Vice Presidential candidate of NDA. BJP national president JP Nadda has given this information. Nadda said, “This decision has been taken unanimously in the meeting of the Parliamentary Board in the presence of PM Modi.”
Who is CP Radhakrishnan?
CP Radhakrishnan is originally from Tamil Nadu and has been an old leader of BJP, RSS and Jana Sangh. He is currently serving as the Governor of Maharashtra. Prior to this he was the Governor of Jharkhand and also had additional charge of the Governor of Telangana. Apart from this, he has also been the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry.
CP Radhakrishnan has been a Lok Sabha MP from Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) and has also been a member of the BJP’s National Executive. At the age of 16, he joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Jana Sangh. He has played an important role in strengthening the BJP in South India, especially Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
CP Radhakrishnan comes from which class? What is BJP’s game plan?
CP Radhakrishnan is an OBC and the gounder is from the caste. The gounder has a sub -caste named Kongo Vellalar. Radhakrishnan is from this sub -caste. This sub -caste is basically associated with farming farming. Western Tamil Nadu, also known as Kongo Region, has the dominance of this caste. Annamalai and AIADMK leaders E Palaniswami are also from this caste.
Under the pressure of EPS for alliance with AIADMK, when the BJP replaced Annamalai as the state president, there was a discussion that the votes of this sub -caste could go away from the BJP. Tamil Nadu has elections next year. In such a situation, the move to make CPR the Vice President is a damage control.
We will also talk to the opposition: Nadda
JP Nadda said, “We will also talk to the opposition. We should also get their support so that we together can ensure unopposed elections for the post of Vice President. As we said earlier, we are in contact with them and our senior leaders have contacted them before and we will still be in contact with them and still we have supported us and all our NDA colleagues have supported us.

The Election Commission had earlier announced that voting for the Vice Presidential election will be held on 9 September and counting will also take place on the same day. The last date for filing nomination is 21 August, while candidates can withdraw their nomination by 25 August.
Let us know that on July 21, the post of Vice President had become vacant after the resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar citing health reasons on the first day of the monsoon session of Parliament. In the resignation of Dhankhar, it was written, “To give priority to healthcare and follow medical advice, I resign from the post of Vice President of India with immediate effect, according to Article 67 (A) of the Constitution.”
