Banaras’s tomato chaat recipe

First step- Prepare sugar syrup before making chaat. For this, add 2 tablespoons of sugar and half a cup of water and boil it. When the sugar dissolves, add roasted cumin and black salt. Cook 2 more minutes and turn off the gas.

Second step- Now take 3-4 tomatoes and finely chop them. Now add 1 teaspoon of ghee to the pan. Now add cumin, finely chopped ginger, 2 green chillies and fry it and add tomatoes and add ground spices.

Third step- Add coriander powder, turmeric powder and Kashmiri red chili powder and mix the tomatoes with spices. Now add some salt and cook the tomatoes for 4 minutes. Now mash the tomatoes and add half a cup of water.

Fourth step- Now take 3 medium size boiled potatoes and finely mash them. Mix potatoes in tomatoes. Now add a little mango and black salt. Now add a little garam masala and cook all the things. Add half the spoon roasted cumin and chaat masala to it.

Fifth step- Add green coriander over it and mix half a lemon juice in the chaat. To serve the chaat, put it in the pail and add desi ghee from the top and add 2 teaspoons of sugar syrup. Serve green coriander, black salt, roasted cumin and chaat masala on top.
