Nepal said- “Pahalgam was the most deadly terrorist attack, will not let us use JEM against India”

Kathmandu: Nepal has described the attack in Kashmir on 22 April as the biggest terrorist attack of this year. Along with this, Nepal leaders have demanded strict adoption by Pakistan’s Lashkar and Jaish terrorist organizations not to use the land of Kathmandu as a transit against India.

Regional cooperation against terrorism

Nepal experts on Wednesday emphasized the immediate need to increase regional cooperation between South Asian countries to deal with the threat of terrorism. Experts many these things during a seminar on ‘Terrorism in South Asia: Challenges for Regional Peace and Security’ organized by the Institute of International Cooperation and Participation in Nepal. Former Nepal’s Industries and Commerce Minister Sunil Bahadur Thapa alerted that extremist groups like Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, which pose a threat to India, can use Nepal as a transit route. But it is not to be allowed to happen.

Former women, child and senior civilian minister of Nepal, Chanda Chaudhary, described curbing money laundering to prevent terrorist activities across the border. Former Foreign Secretary Dinesh Bhattarai, describing the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India as the deadliest attack of recent years, said that the attackers asked the victims before their religion and then shot and killed him on the head. Former Foreign Minister NP Soud condemned all terrorist acts in South Asia and urged to strengthen cooperation between regional governments to deal with this threat.

Nepal’s army also with India

Nepal’s army also stands with India on the issue of terrorism. Former Major General Purna Silwal, former Nepal Army, warned of double norms in anti-terrorism steps and warned that such discrepancies could weaken efforts to eradicate terrorism. Former Foreign Secretary Madhu Raman Acharya emphasized the importance of sharing intelligence between India and Nepal and the importance of joint patrolling along the border.
