New Delhi: Akshara Singh is undoubtedly one of the most popular names in the Bhojpuri entertainment world. The renowned actress has not only starred in various films but also appeared in multiple television shows. In a shocking turn of events, she recently received a death threat over the phone and the person on the other end reportedly demanded Rs 50 lakh from her.
On Wednesday (November 13, 2024), Akshara filed a written complaint at Danapur police station. Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Danapur-1, Bhanu Pratap Singh, was quoted as saying by PTI that she received threat calls from two different numbers on Monday (November 11, 2024). The caller demanded money and issued threats as well. The matter is currently under investigation.
Her father Bipin Singh told the news agency that an unidentified person verbally abused her over the phone and demanded Rs 50 lakh. The caller even threatened to kill her if the money was not paid within two days. A team from Danapur police station visited Akshara’s home after she registered the complaint. Further updates on the case are still awaited.
