Netherlands T20 team declared for Bangladesh tour, Vikramjit Singh and Shariz Ahmed return
The Netherlands cricket team has announced its team for the three -match T20 series against Bangladesh. In the absence of many big names, some players have returned, on which the team’s expectations will now remain.
The Netherlands Cricket Board announced its team for the T20 series against Bangladesh on Wednesday, August 20. The tour will be of three T20 matches, which will be played on 30 August, 1 September and 3 September in the Silhat International Cricket Stadium Bangladesh.
The biggest news was 22 -year -old batsman Vikramjit Singh’s return to the team. He last played against Nepal on 19 June 2025 and could not make it to the T20 World Cup qualifier. Along with them, leg-spinners Dhanta Ahmed and Left-Arme Pacer Ben Fletcher have also returned.
However, the team has also had some big shocks. Bass de Leide, Roelof Van Der Marve, Michael Levit, Jack Lion-Catcht and Hade Owarded will not be part of this tour. Especially the lack of Bass de Leide and Van Der Marve’s shortage can be disturbed as both of them have been a trusted player of the Netherlands for a long time.
The team will once again be in the hands of wicketkeeper batsman Scott Edwards. It is expected that the experience of playing Bangladesh Premier League will work for some players and the team will perform strong.
