Never was in favor of Indus Agreement: Omar Abdullah
X Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said on Friday that we have never been in favor of the Indus Water Agreement. This is the most wrong document for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier, Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi met the injured and their family members in the Pahalgam attack in Srinagar. He said that no matter how much the terrorists try, we will beat them.
At the same time, Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting with the Chief Ministers of all the states. He appealed to the Chief Ministers to identify Pakistani citizens in their respective states and send them back.
3 days after the attack, the army took big action. A search operation was conducted with 2 Lashkar terrorists in Tral in Jammu and Kashmir and Bijbehra in Anantnag. During the operation, there was an explosive blast kept in both homes. Asif Sheikh and Adil Thoker’s houses were completely destroyed in the blast.
On the afternoon of 22 April in Basaron Valley of Pahalgam, terrorists fired on tourists. 26 tourists were killed in the attack. More than 10 are injured.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said in Srinagar that the Government of India has taken some steps. As far as Jammu and Kashmir is concerned, we have never been in favor of the Indus Water Agreement. We have always believed that the Indus Water Treaty is the most wrong document for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
