New hubs of exports are becoming small districts of Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh The small and medium districts of the middle of the economic front are now focusing on the economic front and the biggest proof of this is their unprecedented increase in the field of exports. The recent district -wise GDP report of the state government has revealed that from Sambhal to Chandauli in western Uttar Pradesh, many districts have caught a great speed in exports. According to the report, Kaushambi has registered an incredible increase of 1247.21% in exports. While Jalaun has gained an impressive increase of 998.51% in exports. These figures show that local products are getting a global market in rural and semi-urban areas of the state.
Paan leaves of this city being sold abroad
Chandauli is known for his paddy yield. The export of rice has increased rapidly from here. At the same time, the paan leaves of Mahoba, famous for paan, are now spreading their fragrances outside the country, due to which the local farmers are getting a new market. The export of potato -based food products from Fatehpur has increased and the demand for handprinting art here is also increasing abroad. Rampur’s art of creating a bitter costumes adorned with colorful jewelery is becoming very famous abroad, which has also given a boost to this district.
What is a matter of concern?
However, this encouraging picture also presents a worrying aspect. Some traditional and large industrial centers of the state, which have been the abolition of exports for decades, have recorded a decline in the last one year. In the year 2023-24, exports from many important districts have declined in the year 2022-23. Muzaffarnagar has seen a major decline of 45.09% in exports. In Meerut, which is a major industrial center, this figure is 24%. Exports in Bulandshahr have decreased by 46.33%. In addition, Farrukhabad has recorded a decline of 36.44% in exports. Kanpur, which is considered to be the industrial heart of Uttar Pradesh, has been recorded by a minor, but still a decline of 0.05%. Kushinagar has recorded a significant decline of 59.30%.
What is the challenge before the government?
These figures are a mixed indication for the Uttar Pradesh government. The upliftment of small districts is a sign of a positive economic change, showing development at the ground level. At the same time, it would be a challenge for the government to analyze the causes of exports in large industrial centers and take necessary steps to overcome them, so that the overall export performance of the state can be strengthened.
