The government passed the new Income Tax Bill (No-2) 2025 and Taxation Law Amendment Bill-2025 in the Lok Sabha on Monday amid uproar over voter verification and the theft of votes. The Rajya Sabha introduced the Goa Assembly ST Reservation Bill, 2 sports bills and 3 bills related to Manipur were introduced.
However, while presenting these bills, the opposition’s uproar continued. On this, Rajya Sabha MP Mallikarjun Kharge said that it is being asked for discussion that the house is not in the order and the bills are being passed. It is a deception of democracy. Earlier, 300 opposition MPs took out a march from Parliament to the Election Commission’s office against voter verification. During this, many opposition MPs including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav were detained. However, they were released after 2 hours.
