The New Zealand cricket team has suffered a major setback in the ongoing Tri -series in Zimbabwe. Star all -rounder Glenn Philips has been ruled out of the series due to injury. Philips has been unfortunately out of Zimbabwe’s current tour due to a right back injury. The injury occurred during the Major League Cricket (MLC) final and after reaching Zimbabwe, his health was examined, which confirmed that he would have to rehabilitate for several weeks before being fully fit for the match.
In his absence, 23 -year -old Tim Robinson, who initially joined the team as a cover of players involved in the MLC final, will remain with the team for the remaining tour, in which Zimbabwe and South Africa are also participating. The replacement of Philips in the Test team will be announced when the time comes. Philips will return home with Mitch Hee and Jimmy Neesham, which was also part of the temporary cover group.
