Dubai, 20 October (HIST). New Zealand has defeated South Africa by 32 runs in the final match of the Women’s T20 World Cup. With this victory, New Zealand women’s cricket team has become T20 champion. New Zealand’s women’s team has won the T20 World Cup title for the first time. New Zealand’s all-rounder Emilia Carr, who performed brilliantly in the entire tournament including the final, was awarded the title of Player of the Match and Player of the Series.

Chasing the target of 159 runs set by New Zealand, the South African women’s team could score only 126 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Captain Laura Wolwart scored the maximum 33 runs for the African team. Apart from them, Tajmin Britts contributed 17 runs, Cole Tryan contributed 14 runs and Annie Derksen contributed 10 runs. Apart from this, no batsman could even touch double figures.
