No need for cash in Bihar buses, online ticket booking will start from August:
- In Bihar, there has been a big relief news for millions of passengers traveling by buses. The state government has now taken an important decision towards making bus services completely digital and cashless. From the month of August, online ticket booking facility is being started in the whole of Bihar, so that passengers will no longer need to keep cash money to buy tickets.
- Now there will be no need for cash in pocket
- This new initiative is being started by the State Transport Department and now passengers will be able to book tickets from their mobile phones. That is, there is no need to stand in long lines, and the ticketing process will be completely transparent and convenient.
- Partnership between Transport Department and Canara Bank
- Bihar State Transport Corporation (BSRTC) has partnered with Canara Bank to implement this new e-ticketing service. The partnership will be formally finalized at Hotel Maurya in Patna on Saturday. Transport Minister Sheela Mandal, Additional Chief Secretary Mihir Kumar Singh and BSRTC Administrator Atul Kumar Verma will be present on the occasion. E-ticketing software will also be formally launched during this program.

- The new digital ticketing facility will be applicable to buses operated under all government and public-private partnerships running in Bihar. With this, passengers coming from inside and outside the state will be able to easily book tickets through mobile or website. This will directly affect the saving time and the convenience of the passengers.
- Bengaluru model becomes a source of inspiration
- The entire system has been designed keeping in mind the model of Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC). For example, BMTC has given smart services to passengers by connecting its transport with technology, Bihar is now taking another step towards Digital India on the same lines.
