There is a good news for the Noidians adjacent to Delhi. Noida Metro is going to get a new expansion soon, so that passengers will now be able to travel directly to Bodaki railway station by metro. Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) announced a plan to expand the Aqua line on Thursday, which will go from Greater Noida Depot Station to Bodaki railway station. According to the news of Hindustan Times, this proposed metro expansion has been cleared by the central government for a 2.6 km long track.

Total cost Rs 416.34 crore

According to the news, the line will start from the existing Greater Noida depot station and reach the proposed multi-modal transport hub (MMTH) Bodaki. The total cost of this project has been estimated at Rs 416.34 crore and a target has been set to complete it in three years. It is believed that this metro expansion will benefit around 60,000 daily passengers. NMRC Executive Director Mahendra Singh said on the occasion that today is a historic day for Noida city. Metro expansion has been approved from Greater Noida depot to Bodaki. This 2.6 km long section will form the basis of future multi-model connectivity. The cost of the project is Rs 416 crore and will be completed in three years.

Will get two new stations

As part of the expansion of the Aqua line, two new metro stations will also be built, which will later join the proposed multi-model hub. This step will strengthen the last-mile connectivity and will further convenient travel throughout the NCR region including Noida. Significantly, the project was going on for some time on this project. On 26 May, NMRC gave an official presentation of the scheme to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, after which it received approval.

What will be the benefits of the project?

Passengers will get direct and fast connectivity of metro to Bodaki railway station. The traffic pressure on the Noida -Greater Noida route will be reduced. The number of passengers joining the metro network will increase rapidly. Regional development and multi-modal infrastructure will get new speed and this metro expansion will not only give better connectivity to Noida and Greater Noida, but will also prove to be a major change for passengers in the entire National Capital Region (NCR).
