According to the news of Moneycontrol, this tax exemption implemented by the government has been implemented from the assessment year 2024-25 under Section 10 (46A) of the income tax.

This relief is given by the central government

According to the news, this relief to the authority has been given by the Central Government through the notification number 116/2025 of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). However, the condition in this is that this tax exemption is only from those government bodies, rather than commercial, they are working in the public interest. The Noida Authority is included in such a body. According to the information, the authority will no longer have to pay rent, fees, government grants.

What will be the benefit of tax exemption

The Authority will be able to use more money from this tax exemption in development works. This will help in making roads, transport, housing and sewerage systems even more spectacular. Business and industries will get the benefit of project approval and better infra. However, some conditions have also been laid in this provision of tax exemption. It states that the authority will have to keep tax free income and taxable income separately. In these, the tax exemption can be eliminated if any flaw or disturbance is revealed.

Preparations are to run 500 e-buses

The Noida Authority is preparing to run on 500 e-Bas on different routes. The Authority has proposed three names of the route of these buses. The names that the Authority has proposed is-NGY Urban Mobility Service, GBN EG Ride Service and GBN Green Transport. These buses are to run in Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway areas. However, the name is to be reconstituted by the government.
