Joint military exercise of America and South Korea

Seoul: South Korea and the US have started their annual joint military exercise ‘Ulchi Freedom Shield’ from Monday. Joint military exercise is being done because of the nuclear-hostels rich in nuclear-rich country North Korea can be better faced. At the same time, North Korea has warned that this practice will increase regional tension.

21 thousand soldiers are involved in maneuvers

North Korea has said to respond to ‘any provocation’ against its region. This 11 -day exercise is the second of the large -scale exercises to be held twice a year. It consists of 21,000 soldiers, including 18,000 South Koreans. The maneuvers include computer-based command post operations as well as plains training.

What did South Korea and America say?

South Korea and the United States say the practice is defensive, but North Korea has long been describing them for the attack and often conducts arms tests on such occasions. Last week, North Korea’s Defense Minister No Quang Chola warned that the practice is a symbol of ‘military conflict’ and his army is ready to respond to ‘any provocation’.

North Korea cleaned its stand

The practice is taking place at a time when the new President of South Korea Lee J Monga is preparing to meet US President Donald Trump in Washington on 25 August. North Korea has ignored the appeals to restore Lee’s diplomacy and deepened their relationships with Russia. Lee had recently talked about restoring the 2018 military agreement that aims to reduce tension on the border. South Korea’s Defense Ministry made it clear that the restoration of the agreement would not affect joint exercises at present. (AP)
