Lucknow: Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh is in the headlines these days for his Dil-Luminati tour. Today his big concert is going to be held at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. A huge crowd is expected to gather in this program, but before the concert, the Municipal Corporation has issued a notice to the stadium management.
Municipal Corporation has sent a notice to Ekana Stadium Management regarding Swachh Bharat Mission and waste management. The notice states that wet and dry waste in the premises should be separated and disposed of scientifically. The Municipal Corporation has expressed objection over non-compliance of the advisory given earlier in this regard.
These instructions given in the notice
In the notice, the stadium management has been instructed to
1. Separate arrangements should be made in the stadium for dumping wet and dry garbage.
2. Scientific disposal of garbage should be ensured.
3. Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 should be strictly followed.
The Municipal Corporation has also said that if the guidelines are not followed within five days, strict action will be taken under the Solid Waste Management rules.
NGT is monitoring
According to the information, the National Green Tribunal (NGT) is monitoring these cases. In such a situation, the Municipal Corporation has taken this step so that the problem of garbage can be prevented during the concert and cleanliness can be maintained. This is not the first time that Diljit Dosanjh’s programs have been controversial. Earlier, Telangana government had sent him a notice regarding promotion of liquor in his songs. On this, Diljit had said during one of his programs in Ahmedabad that if liquor is banned across the country, he will stop making songs on this subject.
Today Diljit Dosanjh’s concert will be held at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, where a crowd of thousands is expected to gather. This initiative has been taken by the Municipal Corporation regarding cleanliness and waste management during the program.
