Soon Only Starlink Internet facility is going to be available in India. Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has said this. Starlink is the telecom company of Allen Musk, the world’s richest man. Starlink provides internet facility through satellite. Scindia said that Starlink will soon start its operations in India. Describing the satellite internet as “another flower in the bouquet of telecommunication”, Scindia spoke on the growing diversity in India’s connectivity infrastructure.

Spectrum will be allocated

Scindia said, “In addition to mobile and optical fiber connectivity, satellite connectivity plays an important role, especially in far-flung areas where it is challenging to laying cables physically.” The minister has confirmed that Starlink is going to get a third license for satellite broadband services. He said, “After this, the government will allot spectrum and this service will start soon in the country.”

License will be available in this month

A senior government official told Moneycontrol that the Starlink has been given time to meet compliance requirements by June 7 after receiving the letter of intent on 7 May. The company has already submitted major security-related documents and has provided undertakings to meet the new license conditions. “They will get a license within this month,” the official said.
