India offers open to Russia

Taking interest in this direction, India has directly invited Russian companies to invest in innovative space projects in the country and take advantage of the huge market of India. This information was given by India’s Ambassador Vinay Kumar in Russia. At a function held at the Indian Embassy to commemorate the National Space Day, the ambassador said that the Government of India has introduced several attractive schemes and policies to create a favorable and collaborative atmosphere in the space industry.

India and Russia’s friendship in space for decades

Ambassador Vinay Kumar said that India and Russia have been deeply supported in the space sector for decades. Referring to the major moments of this cooperation, he said that in the year 1975, India launched its first satellite ‘Aryabhata’ in collaboration with Soviet Russia. After this, in 1984, Indian pilot Rakesh Sharma made a space trip through the Soyuz T-11 spacecraft, which was a great achievement at that time. Currently, cooperation on important projects like Gaganyaan Human Space Mission is also going on between the two countries.

ISRO and Rososmos dominate the world

The event also attended the program and experts of Russia’s Space Agency Rososomos, working closely with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). He discussed the importance of this partnership and the possibilities of the future. The ambassador also stated that even though the space industry is a modern commercial field, the traditions and knowledge related to space in Indian civilization are present since the Vedic period. He said that ancient scholars like Aryabhata studied the speed of astronomical bodies and their effects on their human life. Vinay Kumar said that today space technology has become an integral part of our lives in communication, shipping, weather forecasting, disaster management, and many other areas of daily life. He also said that India’s space program has not only contributed to the technological progress of the country, but has also identified it globally.

Programs on space

Under the leadership of the Indian Embassy, students of Kendriya Vidyalaya and members of Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Center presented cultural programs based on space. In these programs, the students showed the importance and complexity of the region by presenting space-related poems, dances and plays. The purpose of the ceremony was not only to remember space cooperation between India and Russia, but also to make the younger generation aware of space science and technology. Ambassador Vinay Kumar in the end said that this cooperation between India and Russia is not only technical cooperation, but it is a strategic partnership that is helping to promote the development and innovation of the two countries.
