Renowned actor of Tamil and Telugu cinema Srikanth was arrested by Chennai Police on Monday, also known as Shri Ram. His arrest is now in the news. The actor has been arrested in the drugs case and has now been sent to judicial custody till 7 July. The police interrogated Srikanth for about eight hours long, after which the actor was sent to judicial custody. This action on Srikanth has been taken in the case related to drugs, which has surprised his fans.
Confirmation of consumption of cocaine in blood test
Giving information, the police said that Srikanth’s blood samples were collected for medical examination at Kilpauk Medical College Hospital. After which the investigation confirmed the presence of narcotics in the actor’s body. Police said Srikanth was taken to the 14th Metropolitan Magistrate’s residence and taken on remand on Monday night. Now the actor has been sent to judicial custody till July 7.
Prasad confessed to supplying drugs to Srikanth
Srikanth came under suspicion when a former AIADMK member was arrested on charges of drug smuggling. During interrogation, Prasad also confessed to supplying drugs to Srikanth. Srikanth is accused of buying and consuming drugs from Prasad expelled from AIADMK. After this, Chennai police arrested Srikanth. At the same time, during the investigation, it has also been learned that the arrested Pradeep Kumar was selling drugs to former AIADMK officer Prasad. Further police investigation also revealed that drugs were being purchased from a Nigerian citizen living in Bengaluru.
