NZ vs Zim 2nd Test Day 1 Highlights: On the first day of the second Test match being played at the Queens Sports Club of Bulaveo, New Zealand once again dominated Zimbabwe like the first Test. Zimbabwe’s first innings was reduced to just 125 runs on the deadly bowling of fast bowler Matt Henry and Debutant Zaikari Fallks.

In this second and last Test match which started on Thursday, August 7, Zimbabwe won the toss and decided to bat first, but it did not prove to be in his favor. Former captain Brendon Taylor, who was returning to the Test after a long time from the team, scored the highest 44 runs, but did not get any special support from the other end and was dismissed as the fifth wicket.

After this, wicketkeeper batsman Tafadzwa Tsiga definitely scored an unbeaten 33 -run innings, but the entire team collapsed at a minor score of just 125 runs. No batsman could cross the double figure except Brendon Taylor (44) and Tafadzwa Tsiga (33*).

For New Zealand, Matt Henry once again bowled 5 wickets while bowling brilliantly, while Zaikari Fallks broke the back of Zimbabwe’s batting with 4 wickets.

In response, New Zealand, while performing brilliant batting, scored 174 runs at the loss of 1 wicket till the stumps and also took a lead of 49 runs. The Devon Conway 79* remained unbeaten on the run, while Will Young played an important innings of 74 runs. The two had a strong 162 -run partnership for the first wicket.

On the first day of Zimbabwe, Trevor Gwandu got the only success as Will Young.

Overall, on the first day of the match, New Zealand has made a strong hold on the match by performing brilliantly with both the ball and the bat. It will now be seen whether Zimbabwe bowlers will be able to return their team to the match on the second day.
