Odisha: AIIMS Delhi will be brought to a minor victim by fire, preparations complete
The victim will be airlifted to Delhi.
New Delhi: On Saturday, three miscreants set fire to a minor girl by spraying petrol in Puri district of Odisha. In a hurry, he has been admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar, where he is being treated. At the same time, the condition of a minor is being told on Sunday morning. At present, the victim will now be taken to Delhi for treatment by plane. Doctors say that the condition of the victim is improving. She was scorched by 70 percent. Currently, a team of 12 doctors and two nursing officers is engaged in taking care of the victim.
70 percent scorched victim
The incident took place in Bayabar village of Balga police station area around 9 am on Saturday morning when the girl was returning from her friend’s house. Sanjay Giri, head of the ‘Burn Center’ department of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhubaneswar, said that the minor girl has scorched up to 70 percent but her condition is stable. He said that the victim is currently in the ICU and is being given oxygen in an artificial manner and her condition is improving. He said, “We are giving liquids to the patient. A team of total 12 doctors and two nursing officers is taking care of the patient. ‘
Patient’s condition stable
Ashutosh Biswas, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhubaneswar, said, “The patient’s condition is stable and in this situation he can be taken by the aircraft.” We will probably take him within two and a half hours. This information has been given to AIIMS Delhi. He will be taken by a special aircraft. ”Officials said that AIIMS Bhubaneswar and Odisha government have interacted with the families of AIIMS Delhi and the patient to take him to Delhi so that the victim could get better treatment. On the other hand, Odisha CM Mohan Charan Manjhi said on this matter on Saturday that the state government is planning to take the victim to Delhi for better treatment. However, he had said that officials of AIIMS Bhubaneswar will take a decision on this.
The crook absconded after setting fire
A police official said that preliminary investigation has revealed that three unidentified youths riding on a motorcycle stopped the girl, forcibly took her to the banks of the Bhargavi river and set it on fire by spraying petrol on it. Police said that the miscreants escaped from the spot after setting the girl on fire. Local people extinguished the fire and rushed the victim to Pipili Government Hospital, from where she was sent to AIIMS Bhubaneswar. At present, the victim’s mother has lodged an FIR at Balga police station. (Input-PTI)
