Mumbai: Former BJP MP Pragya Thakur, acquitted by the NIA court in the Malegaon blast case, has given a shocking statement. He said, “Investigating officials harassed me and asked me to take the names of many people including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.” This is the first time Thakur has made this sensational claim, which is not mentioned in the 1036 -page judgment of the special NIA court, acquitting all the seven accused in the case. Pragya said, “I was forced to take and tortured Yogi Adityanath, Mohan Bhagwat, PM Modi and others.”

When did the statement given?

It is noteworthy that Special Judge A.K. Lahoti has rejected Thakur’s claims of torture and misconduct in his judgment.

Thakur told reporters, “He (officials) asked me to take the name of Prime Minister Modi, because at that time I was living in Surat (Gujarat). There are many names like Bhagwat (clear reference to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat), but I did not name anyone because I did not want to lie.” He claimed that he had given all this in writing.

She said that she is writing her story, in which she will mention all these things and bring out the truth.
