With this decision of Ola, more than 10 lakh drivers associated with the company will now be able to keep the entire money from any ride, now they will not need to give any commission of any kind to the company. This decision of the company will increase the earnings of Ola cab drivers.
Ola implemented zero commission model across the country
The company said that the drivers will be able to keep the entire earnings from the rent without any limit or any income related limit. The company said in a statement that under this initiative, cab drivers can choose their own plan and can also keep full fare without any deduction or limit. This commission model has been implemented across the country. Its scope includes auto-rickshaws, bikes and cab services.
What did the company speak on the new decision
A spokesperson for the Ola Consumer said, “The start of a 0 percent commission model across India shows a fundamental change in the ride service businesses. The removal of the commission gives the partner driver a lot of ownership and chance.” The spokesperson described the partner driver as the backbone of the transport environment and said, “Giving them full control will help in creating a more flexible and sustainable ride business network across the country.”
The new model was first implemented for auto drivers
Ola said that the new commission model was implemented in different stages, which started with Ola Auto and then applied in Ola bikes and Ola Cabs. Along with this, Ola, while expressing its commitment to the safety of passengers, said that the driver’s background check, vehicle quality standard and emergency facilities on the app are followed by other stringent safety protocols.
