Seoul, November 22 (IANS). According to North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, his country made every possible effort in talks with America, but this has confirmed Washington’s unwavering hostile policy towards Pyongyang. North Korea’s government media gave this information on Friday.
Yonhap news agency quoted the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) as saying that Kim made the remarks during a speech at the opening ceremony of an arms exhibition titled ‘Defense Development-2024’ in Pyongyang the previous day.
Kim said in his speech that we had already gone to every limit in negotiations with the US and what was certain from the outcome was an irreversible aggressive and hostile policy towards North Korea.
He said the extreme situation on the Korean Peninsula is not the result of the other side’s misunderstanding, apparently referring to the US.
He said that achieving the highest level of defense capability to defeat the enemy is the only way to maintain peace.
