Ben Duckett, Zak Crawley, and Oollie Pope: In the first Test match being played against Zimbabwe, Oli Pope scored an unbeaten 169 runs (number 3), Ben Docket (No.2) 140 runs and Jack Crolya (No. 1) scored 124 runs in the first innings for England. With this, the name of this trio was recorded unique record.
This is the first time in the history of 148 years of Test cricket when the first 3 batsmen of a team have scored a century in an innings. The Pope, Docket and Crowley three had earlier scored centuries in an innings in the match against Pakistan in 2022.
Significantly, after getting the first batting invitation, England scored a huge score of 498 runs at the loss of 3 wickets in 88 overs by the end of the first day. This is the second highest score made by any team on the first day of the Test match. England are also at number one in this list.
Apart from the century of these three, Joe Root scored an innings of 34 runs.
