Indian shooters Suruchi Singh and Manu Bhaker won gold and silver medals in the ISSF World Cup 2025 in Peru on Tuesday in the ISSF World Cup 2025 respectively in the women’s 10m air pistol event. Saurabh Chaudhary won a bronze medal in the men’s 10m air pistol event.
Suruchi Singh scored a total of 243.6 points to win the final match on Tuesday and defeated two -time Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker, who finished second with 242.3 points. While the People’s Republic of China’s Yao Kianxun finished third with 219.5 points.
This is Suruchi Singh’s second gold medal in the World Cup. She also won a gold medal in the women’s 10m air pistol shooting event at ISSF World Cup 2025 Buenos Aires last week.
Suruchi, who won seven gold at the shooting Nationals in New Delhi last year, won the first World Cup medal by scoring 244.6 in the final in Buenos Aires.
Suruchi Singh and Saurabh Chaudhary also won a bronze medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team in Buenos Aires. Saurabh Chaudhary, who finished seventh in the qualification with 578 points, won the finals in the men’s 10m air pistol event and won the final. In this competition, Hu Kai of China won gold and Brazilian Felip Almeeda Wu received a silver medal.(agency)
