Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah entered the map Sahib cemetery in Srinagar at around 1 pm on Monday afternoon. He read Fatiha on the tombs of 22 people killed and offered flowers on 13 July 1931 on 13 July 1931 for raising his voice against Maharaja Hari Singh of Jammu and Kashmir and offered flowers.

The Jammu and Kashmir government wanted to celebrate July 13 as Martyrdom Day, but the Lieutenant Governor did not give permission. On July 13, Omar claimed that he and other leaders of his parties were under house arrest.

Omar wrote in the X post- 13 July 1931 paid tribute to the martyrs’ tombs and read Fatiha. The government tried to stop my way and forced me to walk from Nauhatta Chowk. The map was closed to the gate of the dargah, forced me to get a wall. Tried to catch me, but I was not going to stop today.

On 13 July 1931, some people opposed Maharaj Hari Singh. He was fired by the Dogra army, killing 22 people. Since then, his martyrdom day was celebrated. In 2020, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha removed this day from the list of gazette holidays.

Omar’s allegation- I was scrambled with me

Omar also shared a clash with security on X, it wrote- I was physically scrambled, but I am of harsh nature and I could not be stopped. I was not doing any illegal or illegal work. Of course, these ‘defenders of law’ need to tell us under which law they were trying to stop us from reading Fatiha.

Omar walking one kilometer, arrived from Ittu Scooty
