English opener Jack Croly, who scored a half -century in the first innings of the fourth Test match against India, has retaliated on Shubman Gill’s 90 second statement. Crrolly reacted on the claim of Shubman Gill, saying that in the third Test match played at Lord’s, he and his fellow batsman Ben Docket had arrived at the crease 90 seconds but clarified that the delay was inadvertently.

Talking to the media after the second day of the fourth Test match in Manchester, Crolye told that he stayed in the dressing room until he saw the umpires going out, and he did what was the standard process according to him. Crowley said, “No, it was not done intentionally. I sat in my place until the umpire went out. When I saw them going, I went out. I did not know that we had come 90 seconds late, but what happened was justified.”

At the same time, on the second day of the Manchester Test, England have strengthened their position in the match thanks to a faster opening partnership of 166 runs between Ben Docket (94) and Croly (84) in Old Trafford. The pair scored more than five runs per over in just 32 overs, making India on the backfoot in the beginning.

Regarding his partnership, Crolyi said, “I like to bat with him. He is a great player. He scored without any hard work. Today, a run on a ball and it reduces the pressure from me. We interact well in the middle and looking at our left-right pair and height difference, I am sure that when we are both batting then it is difficult for the bowlers.”

By the end of the second day’s play in Manchester, England had scored 225 runs for two wickets and now they are only 133 runs away from India’s 358 runs, so now the third day will decide in which direction the Test match will go.
