Boat overturned during shooting
During the shooting of ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’, a boat overturned in the reservoir, with the film’s lead actor and director Rishabh Shetty. However, actor-director Rishabh Shetty and 30 other people involved in film production survived narrowly. Police sources gave this information. Sources said the incident took place during the shooting of the film at Mani reservoir in Masti Katta area of Shivamoga district. The accident occurred in the shallow region of the reservoir, which averted the potential tragedy. However, it is believed that cameras and other shooting equipment are submerged in water. A few weeks before this, in May, actor and comedian Rakesh Pujare left the world, which was part of the film. He went to attend a wedding where he came to a cardiac arrest and died. At the same time, in Udupi district, a 32-year-old junior artist M.F., working in ‘Kantara: Chapter-1’. Kapil died due to drowning in the river Saaparnika. The shooting was temporarily stopped after Kapil’s death.
