OnePlus is preparing to unveil its latest smartphone software, OxygenOS 15, through an online event on October 24 at 3:30 pm ET. It will be based on Android 15 operating system. Packed with some AI features and new design elements, the company is positioning this release as its most user-friendly OS yet.

“OxygenOS 15 introduces the latest AI features from OnePlus, aimed at empowering users with advanced technology. These features have been strategically designed to maximize productivity and creativity across a number of common scenarios, making life easier for every user. The new OxygenOS 15 will be a perfect combination of speed, performance, and intelligence,” the company said.

OnePlus says it has changed the animations to deliver a smoother, more fluid interface. The brand has not revealed or teased any features coming with the new software update. But thankfully, the leak has given a rough idea of what to expect.

One of the most anticipated features, reported by SmartPrix, is a new Control Center. While retaining its familiar layout from OxygenOS 14, the new design may take inspiration from iOS and HyperOS. The revised layout is rumored to feature a media player in a 2×2 grid, a 1×2 brightness slider, and volume controls in a 1×2 grid. Swiping down from the left corner of the screen can open the notification window, and swiping in from the right can bring up Control Center – which is iOS functionality.

Further leaks suggest the introduction of a volume slider that expands and contracts with a press, again borrowing from Apple’s design approach. Another rumored highlight is the addition of a dynamic island-inspired feature. The camera app may also get a live photos feature.

OxygenOS 15 is also said to offer new customization options for the lock screen, including the ability to adjust the clock position, color, and font. Users can also see a depth effect that adds a 3D-like feel to the lock screen.
