Order to give censor certificate to the film made on Yogi Adityanath, Bombay High Court’s big decision
On August 25, the Bombay High Court canceled the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) decision, approved the petition of the producers of the Annatold Story of a Yogi. The film is allegedly based on the life of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The court ordered the CBFC to issue a certificate to the film or challenge this order of the High Court.
Why did CBFC stop certification?
On August 17, CBFC refused to give certifications, objecting to some scenes of the film. Producer company Emperor Cinematics approached the High Court against it.
What did the High Court say?
After watching the film, the High Court said on August 25 that there is no concrete reason for CBFC not giving certificates. Therefore, the board was instructed to provide certification to the film.
