After the Ahmedabad accident, DGCA on Saturday ordered Air India to remove 3 officers. These include Divisional Vice President Chuda Singh, Crew Scheduling Chief Manager Pinky Mittal and Crew Scheduling Planning Planning.

This action was taken against the three officers for serious violations of the aviation safety protocol. DGCA ordered Air India to remove them from the rolls associated with crew scheduling and roperation with immediate effect.

On the other hand, Air India said that the order of DGCA has been implemented. The company’s Chief Operations Officer will directly monitor the entrusting operations control center till further orders. According to the news agency PTI, the order was given on 20 June, which came out today.

The decision was taken after the plane crash accident in Ahmedabad on 12 June. The Air India flight to London crashed immediately after the AI-171 flying. The plane was hit by a medical college hostel, killing a total of 270 people, including passengers.

3 allegations against all three officers

Going against the rules and pairing.
Compulsory flight experience and violation of licensing rules.
Not following the scheduling protocol.
DGCA also gave these instructions

The Air India officials should be removed from all the responsibilities related to crew scheduling and rostering. Start inter -disciplinary action against these officers immediately. Report to DGCA in 10 days.
These officers should be transferred to non-operating posts until the corrective process is completed and they should not be allowed to work on any flight safety or crew compliance.
Strict action will be taken if there is a violation of any rules related to crew scheduling, licensing or flight time in future. Which may include fine, license suspension or cancellation of operator permission.
