Organizing ‘et home’ ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhavan, many big leaders including PM Modi joined
President Draupadi Murmu hosted the ‘At Home’ ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan on 79th Independence Day.
New Delhi: India celebrated its 79th Independence Day with full enthusiasm and pride. On this occasion, President Draupadi Murmu hosted the traditional ‘at home’ ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several Union ministers, heads of the three armies and foreign ambassador attended this magnificent event. This ceremony became an example of unity and hospitality of India.
President paid tribute to national war memorial
Earlier, despite heavy rains, President Murmu paid tribute to the martyrs at the National War Memorial of Delhi along with Chief of Defense Staff Anil Chauhan and heads of the three armies. During this time, two women Air Force officials took a wreath and saluted the sacrifice of the brave soldiers of the country. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Minister Sanjay Seth were also present on this serious occasion. This moment became a symbol of respect and gratitude to the soldiers of the country.
PM Modi addressed the country from Red Fort
In his 12th Independence Day address to the ramparts of the Red Fort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi described ‘self -reliant India’ as the foundation of ‘developed India’. He said that independence is not just political freedom, but self -sufficiency is necessary in every field. The PM called upon the countrymen to avoid dependence on others and be vigilant to keep India’s independence strong. He said, ‘We have to create our own strength, so that no one can challenge our freedom.’
PM announces ‘Mission Sudarshan Chakra’
PM Modi in his address introduced the ‘Mission Sudarshan Chakra’, whose name is inspired by Lord Krishna’s mythological weapon ‘Sudarshan Chakra’. The aim of this mission is to increase India’s military strength and strengthen the country’s defense system by 2035. The PM said, “This mission will enable India to respond to the dangers rapidly and effectively.”
What did President Murmu say in his message?
On the eve of Independence Day, President Draupadi Murmu while addressing the countrymen said that India is growing rapidly towards self -reliance and economic development. He had said, “In 1947 we had inherited poverty and challenges, but today India has made remarkable progress in every field.” The President had expressed confidence to make India a developed economy by 2047.
